Protecting God's Children
The VIRTUS PROTECTING GOD`S CHILDREN ™ Program is on-going in the Diocese of Joliet and mandated that all parishes participate. This program represents a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of the children of our communities.
All parish staff, employees and volunteers who work in ministries that include children are required to attend "Protecting God`s Children", a workshop that is the beginning of the program. Following the workshop, there is on-going training that is available on-line at a web site specific to this program.
As part of the effort of Saint Anne Parish to create a safe environment, we will also conduct criminal background checks for all staff and employees, and for volunteers working with minors, and follow up on references provided.
Saint Anne Parish is committed to ensuring that all of our children are safe in parish programs.
